about hm changes and ele dmg
I wasnt playing when the update came out, im still geting used to with the 'new' skill efects ( flare going aoe with exaust for example)
but as i scrolled and read trough some topics on this wonderfull forum i saw a few mentioning that they removed armor buffs on enemies in HM.
Does this mean my elemental atacks do the same dmg as in NM?

I'll summarize it as no. They raised health of hard mode foes as an attempt to balance it closer to armor ignoring damage. There will still be high level foes that may give you issues, too.

I understand the mobs in HM are still tough and that they wont fall as fast as NM mobs.
Im just asking if my flare (just a example...) will do 50dmg in hm as it dors in nm?

It really would be worth reading the official wiki on armor ratings, levels, and how the game calculates damage. You might get full damage sometimes and sometimes not, but the no above is a good response. The profession has some armor ignoring damage that you can mix with your bar.

Fire is fine for NM, for HM I prefer earth

Any particular reason? Not that I doubt you; rather I'm making a new elementalist and wondering what kind of angle to go for when designing earth builds.

Earth has some big stompy AoE skills that include utility like knock-downs and blind, but they suffer a bit from chunky energy costs and/or recharge. It also has low cost single target skills that have a low recharge, but I would not rely too much on them because physical professions will still out-DPS you badly.
Typically Assassins' Promise is they best option for the profession with either Air, Fire, or Earth. Spam strong AoE and single target damage unless you're in a very hex removal area or Winds of Change HM. Even then it's still strong.

I find earth synergises well with my HM playstyle/hero setup. I tend to run smiting monk, necro MM, necro healer, 2 mes, 2 rit.
My earth has 2xAoE and two single target spells plus EVAS and some energy management and general utility.
Works for me - your mileage may vary
